Abstract

Horkheimer is recognized as a representative of the Frankfurt school, where he began his career as a philosopher until he became one of the main exponents of Critical Theory. But who is Horkheimer? He was born into a wealthy Jewish family. Under pressure from his father, he was forced to leave school to dedicate himself to work in the family factory, a fact that significantly marked him in the achievement of his professional project.
