Abstract

One of the challenges that Higher Education Institutions
HEIs must assume today is related to the
development of educational strategies and human
development models that contribute to enhance
the social inclusion of the student population with
challenging characteristics as a result of cultural
diversity and the new political and social contexts
that are lived in the local communities of our
country.
Following the order of these ideas, new challenges
are generated for HEIs, and in the specific case of
this paper, for the Social Work program at Institución
Universitaria Antonio José Camacho - Uniajc,
which are designed to implement an inclusion
social policy in the framework of the policy of inclusive
education proposed by the Ministry of National
Education in 2013.
The Uniajc has a wide diversity of students who
are training professionally in Social Work, whose
living conditions merit the resignification of institutional
imaginaries so that they recognize those
other ways of being in the world looking to empower
and project them to society, not only as citizens
but as political subjects capable of managing
social projects from their professional work; it is a
way to promote their role as managers in the social
transformations that the region requires.
Considering all the above, a team of teachers researchers
who are active members of “Anudamientos”
Research Group, has been developing a research
called “Students in displacement condition
linked to higher education: realities that transform
and impact their participation as political
subjects. Uniajc case “in which the present paper
is based on.
In this paper; first, the review of the studies that
have facilitated the identification of sociocultural
diversity and the displacement condition of students
who are interested in professional training
in Social Work is presented; and then, a reflection on the challenges in the training of social workers
(in conditions of armed displacement) is conducted,
from the construction of political subjectivity
and their consolidation as political subjects.
